Masataka Taketsuru founded Nikka’s second distillery in 1969 – Miyagikyo distillery. Using less peaty malt and distilled in a pot still heated by indirect steam, this soft and luxuriantly fragrant single malt has an elegant fruitiness and a distinctive aroma with a strong Sherry cask influence.

Taste: Spice and nuts give way to emerging florality. A palate of honey, sherry wood and nutmeg. Soft and smooth. Fruity, full and lingering, superbly balanced finishing.
